For example, there is a multi-faceted performing arts group under the Canberra CC family known as the Variasi Performing Arts. This group specialises in Malay dance, music and drama and they comprise mainly enthusiastic teenagers keen in cultural performances. This group has performed at various events. Many residents are also participants in our CC courses. Our most popular course to date are Ballet classes on Wednesday and Friday evenings. The most popular course to date for adults is the Hatha Yoga class daily except tuesday and Wednesday. Most residents feedbacked that the courses were affordable yet with no compromise in quality. Why "The Jelutung"?

A "Name-Our-Club" Competition was conducted in the month of February 2003. "The Jelutung" was selected out of 33 entries for it symbolises the many 'green' features of the modern Community Club to be built. As a fast growing tree, it depicts Canberra Division as a young yet fast growing community. In Mandarin "Ya Lu Tong", towards a gracious community, is in line with our aim to promote arts in the Community Club.
